First up, Dr. Nasem Dunlop, founder and owner of Treehouse Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Dr. Nasem is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She has been practicing for over ten years and has also had roles as director and attending at USC pediatric dental program and a non-profit dental clinic in Garden Grove. Dr. Nasem’s passion is her work and her patients. She is also a certified lactation education counselor and extensively knowledgeable in tethered oral tissues/ tongue and lip ties performing releases with her state of the art CO2 laser in office. As a mother of two herself, she truly cares for every child as if they were her own.
Next up, Dr. Dien Sun, our wonderful board eligible pediatric dentist. Dr. Sun was Dr. Nasem’s resident and now joins her by her side as a colleague at the office. She started her journey up the California coast first completing her undergraduate degree at UCLA, and next, up in San Francisco for her DDS degree at UCSF. Dr. Sun found her passion for working with children while in dental school, connecting to kids in all different parts of the Bay Area through community outreach and clinical care. She then journeyed back down to Southern California, completing her two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at USC. While in residency, she trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she treated special needs children. Dr. Sun’s kind, gentle care wins over patient hearts daily. She enjoys forming the future dental patients and helping them to overcome their anxiety at the dentist.
Last but certainly not least, Dr. Shelton Hsu, our incredible orthodontic specialist. Dr. Hsu (pronounced “Shoe”) has been treating children and adults for over 15 years. His mission is to provide detailed quality care with a gentle touch and help his patients benefit from a lifetime of healthy straight teeth. Especially with young patients, he makes a genuine effort to listen carefully and answer their questions and concerns. Dr. Hsu stays up to date with modern orthodontics and uses technology to make treatment easier and more comfortable for his patients. Whether your case is simple or complex, Dr. Hsu will identify the main cause of misalignment and then carefully plan an efficient strategy to straighten your teeth and enhance your smile.
