A New Quarter, A New Challenge
With the end of October, Art of Problem Solving courses are wrapping up their first unit, and preparing to dive into the next topics. Math Level 2 class is starting to learn about subtraction and mathematical expressions in Beast Academy, while Language Arts Level 2 practice letter writing with the denizens of Wondermoore. Other classes are starting math contest prep or investigating sources from the Titanic.
A new unit is also a great time to join an existing class — families join AoPS Academy year round, and students are able to jump right into a new challenge without any friction.
How We Support Students to Grow as Problem Solvers
No matter when they start with us, AoPS Academy offers multiple resources to help support families in their academic journey.
Virtual access to notes and handouts
All class notes and handouts are available through My Academy! Even if they miss a class, students can easily catch up with access to all of the materials they’ll need.
Expert instructors ready to help
Once passionate students themselves, our instructors understand how determined our learners can be and seek to grow that love of learning beyond the classroom. Instructors are available for 15 minutes before and after class for any questions that students might have. Parents can also schedule a 1:1 session to meet with a director or senior instructor for specific guidance!
Zoom office hours
Students who have questions that might take a little longer to answer can hop onto our virtual office hours to meet with our teaching assistants to talk through a tricky concept or a sticky problem. Support is available for Math Level 1 through Prealgebra, and all Language Arts classes.
Fall Festival: Fun for the Problem Solving Community
AoPS Academy is not just an academic center — we support students as they develop a love of new challenges and nurture a community dedicated to exploring new ideas and asking questions.
The upcoming Fall Festival is one such way we stay connected — an evening of fall-themed games and puzzles open to AoPS families, friends, and any curious problem solver interested in learning more!
Space is limited — RSVP to join the festivities.
