William R Mason Regional Park

This spacious park includes something for the whole family! Whether you like to bike, play softball, hike, or play volleyball, you can find it here. The park is also home to 3 playgrounds, which is perfect for the little ones.

Adventure Playground

This enclosed playground is perfect if you are looking for something to spark your child’s imagination. Not only is the playground itself cool, because it looks like a fort or some sort of castle, but it also includes a giant set of Legos, foosball, and an area where kids can play in the mud (Be sure to bring a change of clothes!). The park is free and operates from 10 am to dusk every day.

Sweet Shade Park

Sweet Shade park includes walking trails, basketball courts, and a playground for kids. The great thing about this playground, is that there are plans in the works to create a play structure that is more inclusive. These plans were implemented to give children with disabilities a space to play. There is a playground at this location currently, but once the plans and renovations are complete, the playground will be accessible to all!

Heritage Community Park

Spanning about 36 acres wide, Heritage Community Park is the perfect place to spend with your family. With lighted baseball fields, racquetball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts and more, the possibilities for staying active are almost endless. The park includes 22 barbecues if you feel like relaxing, and includes 2 playgrounds for the kids.

 

Castle Park

4531 Bryan Ave, Irvine, CA 92620

Located at the Northwood Community Center, Castle Park includes a castle fortress with a bridge, tunnel, and rock wall that will let your child live out their wildest dreams of being a princess, knight, king, or queen. There is plenty of parking, and has tennis courts, picnic areas, a track, and more nearby.

Treehouse Park

501 Benchmark, Irvine, CA 92618

Beacon Park is home to one of the most modern-looking playgrounds, treehouse park. True to its name, the park includes a giant treehouse, complete with a slide and climbing areas. A notable feature is the obstacle course, which includes unique play equipment not found anywhere else.

Greenfield Park

155 Walking Stick, Irvine, CA 92618

Sitting in the middle Portola Springs neighborhood is Greenfield Park, one of many private playgrounds in the area. This one is accessible by residents of Portola Springs and features new, eye-catching playground equipment and has a pool and spa nearby.

Parasol Park

Parasol Park is a neighborhood located near Irvine’s Great Park. While some amenities are reserved for neighborhood members only, the playground itself is open to the public. Because the structure is made almost entirely out of wood it provides an atmosphere unlike other playgrounds.

Los Olivos Community Park 

The Los Olivos Community Park is the old site of the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre and includes a music-themed playground for your child to enjoy. While other parks in this area are private, this one is open to the public. The playground sits on both sand and turf, and includes unique features such as disc swings and rope climbers.

Oak Creek Community Park

If you are looking for a park where you can socialize with other moms, try visiting Oak Creek Community Park. The playground at the park includes equipment for children of all ages, and has a large grass area for kids to run free.

San Leandro Park

Right next to Culverdale elementary school is San Leandro Park. The playground here includes a tire swing, two regular swings, and two toddler swings. The perfect part about this playground is that there are awnings above the play structures, which provide shade for your children on warmer days, which we see a lot of in California.

12 Paseo Westpark, Irvine, CA 92614

Turtle Rock Park

If your children are becoming restless and need a place to play, take them to Turtle Rock Park. The park has two playgrounds, and holds a beautiful nature center. In the nature center, you can hike along trails, visit the native plant garden, make your way through the labyrinth, or host a birthday party.
