We introduce you to : CASAGO the perfect outdoor adventure! | Irvine Moms
How did CasaGogo come about?
We’ve been producing the Joshua Tree Music Festivals since 2003 (31 of them so far, every May and Oct, except for this year). Since 2009, we’ve been collecting vintage trailers (28 of them), and fully renovating them in to cozy campers. Pre-Covid, we rented them out to festival goers, and to a handful of other events here in the high desert. Back in March, we realized that  festivals won’t be happening for some time, so we focused on opening up CasaGogo here at the Joshua Tree Music Festival site; a safe place to be outdoors with your loved ones.
What is the Experience and concept behind CasaGogo?
With all the changes that the pandemic brings, one thing remains the same; enjoying the outdoors with your loved ones is good for the mind, body and soul. Hike, stargaze, sit around the bonfire. Sleep in comfort, but still have the camping experience. CasaGogo has sweeping views of the Joshua Tree National Park, and is close to either the Joshua Tree or 29 Palms park entrance.

How would you describe the High Desert getaway?
Camping in comfort. Many folks love to be outside, but sleeping on the ground in a tent doesn’t necessarily appeal. There are many amazing AirBnB’s in the area, but then folks essentially spend more time indoors.  And now, more than ever, escaping the city, and enjoying outdoor spaces is just what the doctor ordered. That’s where we come in. The National Park is one of the outdoor treasures of the world, so we are hosting folks who are coming out to experience the Magical Mojave.

What do you hope visitors take away from the Adventure?
That the desert is an amazing, soothing, anxiety reducing experience to be enjoyed by all.

What has been a memorable experience while at CasaGogo?
Over the Halloween weekend, we had 5 families come out, and they each stayed in separate trailer groupings. For many, this was their first time away from home since March. Tears of joy were shed over just being able to spend time with friends, safely, outdoors.  While in their own camps, masks were not worn. But when out strolling about, or visiting with friends, masks are on.  A few had never been to Joshua Tree, and were blown away by the sunrises, sunsets, endless hiking opportunities, and the night skies.

Who comes up with the designs, concepts and creative names of the refurbished trailers?
Sarah Renner has been co-curating the festivals with me since 2008.  She is a highly creative design wizard.  Sarah has designed and helped renovate all the trailers here on site with our JTMF build crew.

What is your background and do you have any other plans to incorporate or grow CasaGogo?
For 26 years, I’ve been making a living via JavaGogo, by setting up organic espresso cafes at music festivals. Over 750 music festivals and counting. I founded and produce the Joshua Tree Music Festivals (31 and counting), and co-produced the Guitarfish Music Festival for the past three years. I also started up another pandemic inspired business, Harmonize Printing: a direct to garment Tshirt printing business for musicians and artists to share their merch and creations.  But really i’m just having a good time, and proud to be a papa to Lola (age 15). Yes, there are greater plans for CasaGogo, as we evolve our festival site in to an ongoing outdoor retreat center (Joshua Tree Music and Art Farm).
